THE KANZI POWER HACKS – THE POWER OF DOING NOTHING

Less is more? Absolutely. 

Today’s technologically enabled always-on world is faster paced than ever before. Various studies have been conducted, and some believe that we are exposed to more than 5,000 messages and must make up to 35,000 conscious and subconscious decisions. Every single day. 

Needless to say, this can become a little much sometimes. This is why it is so incredibly important to make sure we build little breaks into our days to let us come to rest and re energize ourselves. 

Whilst there are different ways of doing this, some more structured and sophisticated than others, the basic idea remains the same. Block a few moments throughout your day for distancing yourself from what you are doing and just focus on yourself. 

This can be anything from taking a break to eat a healthy snack like a KANZI apple, to reading a book for ten minutes, going for a walk outside, or possibly exploring some breathing or mindfulness exercises. At the end of the day, you need to find what works for you – what gets your mind to relax. For only if you can get your mind to relax, can you get your body to re energize. 

YOUR “DOING NOTHING” ENERGY HACKS

  • Think about where in your day you could add some 10m “doing nothing” breaks.

  • Inspiration: eat a healthy snack, go for a walk outside, breathing or mindfulness exercises. 

  • Schedule these breaks into every single day and stick to them. And during these breaks make sure you do NOT use your mobile phone.

  • Tip: it sometimes feels like you don’t have enough time for these. The truth is you don’t have the time to not do these. As once you have done them you will have more energy again and be more productive.
