Flammkuchen with KANZI® apple & bacon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 roll of fresh Flammkuchen dough (260 gr)

  • 1 KANZI® apple

  • 1 red onion

  • 5 sprigs of fresh thyme

  • 100 g of crème fraîche

  • 100 g of bacon strips

  • 25 g of rocket salad

  • 1 – 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°
  2. Roll out the dough with baking paper and cut into 6 equal pieces. Possibly round off the corners to get the real Flammkuchen shape. Place them next to each other on a baking tray.
  3. Cut the red onion into half rings. Strip the leaves from the sprigs of thyme.
  4. Peel the KANZI® apple and cut into small cubes.
  5. Spoon the crème fraîche across the pieces of dough. Keep 1 cm clear from the edge.
  6. Subsequently cover the Flammkuchen with the bacon strips, red onion and apple cubes. Sprinkle with the thyme.
  7. Bake the Flammkuchen in the oven for approx. 15 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle the baked Flammkuchen with some rocket leaves and drizzle with a little olive oil.
